This section was very similar to the present tense section. For this reason, this chapter was a much easier read to go through. This section helped me develop/find new ways to explain the different tenses. If asked by a student when to use the past continuous affirmative form, I must admit that I would have found this quite difficult to do prior to combing through this chapter. This unit offers information about different types of examinations. Placement tests are given to place a new student in the correct class. Progress tests are used for monitoring a student's progress throughout the course's duration. It also included additional information on practice and diagnostic tests.
Details regarding the various external examinations are on pages 7 to 9.
