This video is a sample EFL lesson in a real-life classroom setting abroad. In the activate phase of the lesson, the teacher starts a class activity with his students. The class is split into two teams and a member of each team is competing against the other team to build a correct sentence about modal verbs. This phase of the lesson is important for the students to actively use the newly learned grammar or vocabulary.

this unit was a good unit for a reminder of basic form of english grammar structure. I used to have some hard time learning it and memorize it and sometimes, I was unsure when to use present perfect,present, and present perfect continuous. It was a good reminder of my study back in the days, and through this unit I could make sure how I should use them when I teach students.This unit is an in-depth look into tenses, including present simple, present continuous, present perfect, present perfect continuous. For each tense, there were examples provided of form, usage, typical student errors, and Activate stage teaching ideas. Within each tense, there is also three forms: Affirmative, Negative, and Question (most have a question form, but not all).
