Teaching special groups include teaching beginners, teaching individual students, teaching young learners, teaching Business English or English for Specific Purposes and teaching monolingual or multilingual classes. Each of these groups will require a special approach. With beginners it is essential to use a lot of visual materials, give clear instructions, encourage students to do homework and revise constantly. While teaching individual students teachers should be aware of there student’s needs, specific language problems and interests. With children teachers should never use their native language, speak slowly, use a lot of gestures and change the voice pitch, make their lessons fun, varied and interesting. As for teaching Business English and English for Specific Purposes, teachers should find out what their students need by carrying out a needs analysis and then develop a suitable teaching plan that will demonstrate the relevance of the topics to students' needs. Teaching multilingual classes might appear to have many advantages as students have no common language except English and they can bring greater variety of culture and ideas. Monolingual classes cannot offer these advantages, however students are likely to have the same language difficulties and interests.
