The relationships between teacher and students are very important. The more caring, enthusiastic and motivated the teacher is in the classroom the more response he/she gets from the students, the better the efficiency of the lesson. Some of the criteria that make the “good teacher” are kindness, patience, love for teaching, enthusiasm, knowledge of the subject, ability to build the good rapport, ability to involve all students on the lesson and so on. In the classroom teachers play many different roles. Sometimes they have to control the whole class and be in the center of attention, the other times just to observe the work of the students from the side. Sometimes teachers organize a class for activity, and sometimes participate in it as an equal with their students. I believe that a good teacher should also know his/her students, e.g their level of motivation, experiences, cultural assumption, interests and needs to be able to provide them with the most effective lessons.
