Unit 16 reflects on conditionals and reported speech, an element of english that develops as second nature to a native english speaker but conversely can be the cause of much confusion when it is being taught or studied. The unit describes the five main conditionals and their form and usage as well as providing some suggested teaching ideas for this topic. The second part of unit 16 is about how direct speech is reported and how the form of a sentence or question is changed appropriately.
