In this unit I have been exposed to the different kind of skills that a learner should hone: listening, reading, speaking and writing. All of them are equally important, that means that we can not prioritize one over the others for no reason. There should be a balance in our lessons integrating all the skills without focusing more on one aspect unless we are required to.
Besides I have learned how do we read and listen: we either predict, scan, skim, deduct or get detailed information.
Finally I have seen how could we solve the problems with teaching and reading and how to design an appropriate lesson plan (Straight arrow? with those characteristics.
