In this unit, we talked about different kinds of methodologies. ESA is the most popular one now. E means engage, S for study and A for activate. I know E is very useful. Since we don't live in an English-speaking country, students don't speak English in their daily life. It's important for students to get used to speaking English at the beginning of the class. As a teacher, I can introduce some daily greetings, use some songs and games to engage students, making them feel interested in our class. Then when we are familiar with each other and English, teachers can start to teach main content. Students learn from the teacher about words, expressions and grammars. At last, we learn to use. So there is the phase of activate, where students are encouraged to communicate in English, using the knowledge they just learnt. This time, they may make some mistakes or errors. Teachers can help correct them after their communications, but too many corrections are not very good. We should choose which to correct and which not. At last, I'd say, for YLs, I should use varied forms of teaching to arouse their interest and help them learn from practice. Give them confidence and courage. Praise them a lot. Love them.
