Course materials are an essential part of lessons. These materials will provide information, instructions, and tasks to students. There a two types of lessons materials. Authentic materials which are originally created for native speakers, but the exposure can help students learn fluency and build confidence. Created materials are designed for students to help target key ideas and topics. These materials can be built from the ground up for a specific class or lesson. Another major component of course materials is the course book. These books provide a good structure for students to follow but can be constricting in some cases. Using all three of these materials will help provide lessons that students will find interesting and helpful.
