Many important concepts taught in this Teaching of Pronunciation and Phonology unit. I learned that pronunciation is the least taught subject of ESL. The study defined phonology, gave many examples and types and how to teach.Both teaching intonation and stress were thoroughly covered with explanations and examples. Linked speech was addressed as well as the phonemic alphabet and symbols. I enjoyed the clever phone on this by George Bernard Shaw. Articulation was explained with diagrams, charts and examples. Finally, teaching techniques were included to round out the lesson.
