This unit focuses on the organization of the classroom and the management of the class. In order to be a successful teacher and have students that are able to learn in a good environment, there are many factors that come into play. The proper seating arrangement of the students is essential as it will allow them to have a clear view of the teacher and will also allow them to interact with each other. The teacher himself/herself must learn how to maintain discipline in the classroom all while allowing the students to communicate and participate in activities during the course. I have found this unit to be very interesting and essential; I have learned that many details while teaching are extremely important, such as gesture and voice, as it can be a necessity in establishing good rapport with the class. Problem behavior is also addressed in this unit as it is likely I will encounter this issue in my future career as a teacher and so it is important to learn how to handle this particular situation without worsening it and disrupting the flow of the course.
