This unit dealt with conditionals and reported speech. Conditionals are sentences that contain an "if" clause and a main clause and refer to some kind of possibility (past, present or future). There are five conditionals: zero, first, second, third and mixed. These clauses contain a condition and a consequence. The condition must be met in order for the consequence to be realized.
Reported speech was also covered. Reported speech is when a direct quote is reported to a third party. In reported speech, several things can change, including verb tenses, pronouns, and time expressions. These changes can cause mistakes and errors among students.
