There are few special scenarios that a teacher should be prepared for. First is the first day of class. This day should be used to build a relationship with the students and get an understanding of their English level; building a solid relationship will make it easier to have engaging lessons with the students down the road. Second are classes of different levels. I should be prepared to adjust my expectations for the class to ensure each student is learning something meaningful. Whether this be doing more pair work or having different worksheets for the various levels, I need to not single out any one group. Finally, large classes. With large classes the types of activities and individual student engagement becomes limited therefore, these classes will depend more on students helping each other do activities. No matter which situation arrives in the classroom there is always a way to take care of it in an easy and beneficial way.
