It was very helpful and entertaining to see the contrast of the two lessons. The teacher in the first lesson demonstrated many wrong practices such as coming in after the students, not introducing himself, acting aloof and impatient with the students. He also used a big vocabulary word not familiar with the students and would not define or explain it causing confusion with the students. He was disorganized in the game at the end and kept forgetting the score. He ended class abruptly and just walked out. Very helpful in what not to do. The second video showed a successful class that was well taught. Simon was engaging, involved all students by name and engaged them from the start. He gave effective study activities and then used an appropriate activate activity. He seemed caring, committed and capable.
