I don’t use a textbook in most classes cause we focus on speaking but for one of my classes we use a Ted Talk book exclusively and all the lessons are based around it. Maybe I consider what we would do if we didn’t have the Ted talk as a bind. Also the boomerang questions were hard. I personally prefer using native materials to teach, even with students who native language is English, I prefer using novels poems and spoken word. More applicable.
