This unit looked at modal auxiliary verbs and the passive voice and also phrasal verbs. I am absolutely sure that I have never learnt about either modal or phrasal verbs before and I found the lesson very informative. It did clear up quite a few questions I had been having about how to explain some speech patterns. The phrasal verbs are fun but I found it difficult sometimes separating the transitive separable from the transitive inseparable so I need to do more work on that. The tables are very helpful and I hope to find some similar ones to use in the classroom.
