This unit discusses modality or the expression of different notions like permissibility and possibility (among others), the passive voice which displaces the agent from the subject position of a clause, the different types of relative clauses (whether or not they are essential to meaning), and phrasal verbs which include one or two particles. While they all require precise instruction and definition, I feel that the most difficult concept is that of phrasal verbs.
