Boomerang lessons seem to be more effective to me. I will be teaching level 1 English students and some classes will be composed of students who do not really care to learn English but are taking my class as a requisite, therefore, I like the idea of having various activities and study drills within a lesson. I feel that having a more active lesson will help keep students involved and engaged. I agree that teaching slang is very important, I have a few Chinese friends that are in the US now and have a lot of trouble understanding their peers because they do not understand slang.
