After reading this unit, I am able to distinguish the different stages of students. It is very important because Once you know the level of student you can plan how to deal with it and about how to prepare the lecture, the use of words and examples so that the students can feel comfortable while listening to the teacher. The most important thing which was very thought-provoking is the role teacher what are the qualities of a good teacher to produce good students. If the teacher is fully equipped with patience, caring and friendly nature and all the other qualities mentioned in the unit she can improve her/himself too.Also, the section on learning abilities of adults and young learner was so helpful. I have been teaching young learners and adults too but sometimes I really felt confused to deal the student questions at the end of the lecture. Now, I can correct my self by treating student on their level for example if I am teaching an adult I should give an example of his/her level of interest so that he/she enjoy and focus on the lecture. I also learn how to maintain flow during lecture and make the lecture an interactive session by arranging activities, asking questions, let the students do something themselves and allow them to explore more and more.
