In this unit we covered the past tenses, which include past simple, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous. There are subtle differences between these tenses, and while they all notate the past, they can describe which order events took place in the past. For instance, to indicate an interrupted event, you can use the past perfect continuous, followed by the past simple. It's interesting to see how the tenses work together to create new ideas, and indicate something as specific as interruption, as well as other factors, such as which event occurred first.
