I have learned that lessons need to be purposeful and systematic and focus in on a particular teaching objective for learners of English as a Foreign language. However, preparation of lessons need not be over-complicated. Rather, it is best if the teacher keeps the lesson simple, intentional and focused. Indeed, by using this systematic approach, the learner of English as a foreign language, if engaged, has little chances of NOT learning the intended learning objective.
