I'd like to use the board for a small group class and Overhead projector for a large group class in my lesson. Using board is a traditional way and still very effective way. Every class room has a board so teachers learn how to use appropriately. First we should start with clean board. Students are like white paper. They just accept it on the white board as it is. Some students are shy so afraid of questioning to teachers. Teacher should write accurately and try to section off a board for students. Regarding OHP, it can be prepared in advance so it is good for an inexperienced teacher. If a teacher wants to reveal the information gradually, a teacher can cover the part of OhT. Like any other device, teachers need to set up before the class in order to check.
