The content of unit 1 is to introduce future TEFL teachers to many roles and responsibilities they might have in the future, With a focus on the decisions the teachers might have to face before applying for a specific job in a certain country.
My opinion on these questions are:
1st Geographically, because of cultural differences and some teachers might not be able to accept certain cultures.
2nd Age of student, because depending on your personality, personal capability, and passion would you like to:
a) Teach more sophisticated English to Adults with a greater attention span, but accepting the challenge of potential fixed views on teaching methods.
b) Young learners that have partial capability to understand and communicate, but taking the challenge to keep them motivated and willing to participate in your teachings (Pre- and Post-Puberty), or
c) Very young learners (Age 2-7) who are energetic and cheerful but have a great responsibility to the students' safety and security, and also be willing.able to deal with their level of sensitivity to emotions.
