I liked learning about the importance of accuracy and fluency. It's so important to have a balance of both. Thinking about learning a new language and watching the students in the videos, it takes a lot of doing to think about all the aspects of a new language. In the videos, I noticed that even though the students were doing a good job of speaking in class and were encouraged by their teacher, it takes work and takes a lot of waiting time too from a teacher. Therefore, fluency is crucial to moving ahead and not getting burned out from learning a new language. I learned also about the importance of writing skills. It was interesting to make the connection that sometimes incorrect writing can make the student look less educated on a language than they really are.
