This lesson basically lists the most commonly used teaching aids and equipment. Many of them can be easily found in any classroom like white/black boards, worksheets, dictionaries, overhead projectors or resource books. Some of them are less common due to costs or availability like computers, photocopiers or interactive whiteboards. Some are least necessary nowadays since they are becoming obsolete, like cassettes, CD's or video players and they have been replace by other tools like, the display of YouTube videos or the recording of image using the cameras on Smartphones.
Technology has also given both the teacher and the student access to a great number of web pages to support the learning process. From web sites where the teacher can find a variety of worksheets, ideas for lesson plans, games, and other aids; to web sites for students to use as resources for grammar practice, vocabulary, dictionaries and thesaurus, etc.
What is clear is that all of these items are useful at some point during the learning process.
