This unit talks about various equipment and teaching aids we may use in the class. For materials, we have course books, resource books, dictionaries and some online sources. BBC learning English is a good website for us to use. For electronic products, we can use computers, video cameras, videos and DVDs, cassette recorder, CD player, OHP, etc. Although some use of these products may help arouse students' interest and attract their attention, too much use may distract students and make our classes less communicative.
For prompts, we can use visual aids such as pictures, real objects, which can reduce teachers' talking time and make it easier for students
to understand. Worksheets and work cards are also useful to elicit language.
At last, we can black/white board and interactive board to write some notes. Interactive board may not be easy to use, so teachers should receive some training and practice in advance.
