This unit provides two video examples- one of a well taught lesson and one of a poorly taught lesson to help us identify differences. It would have been very uncomfortable to sit in on the first lesson, as the teacher didn't seem to want to be teaching and didn't build rapport with the students. By repeatedly saying that the grammar point he was teaching was so easy he was in fact belittling the students for not understanding it entirely. This made the students close down and not want to participate in the lesson. In the second video the teacher effectively used his pace of speech, annunciation, gestures, board work, activities, etc. to help the students engage and learn the lesson.
