In this unit we learned the importance and use of modal and phrasal verbs as well as passive and active voice. These things are important for the students to understand so they can better articulate actions and how verbs are properly used within a sentence. Also, it is important for the students to understand proper use of these verbs so sentences make sense to them as well as those they are speaking to. This unit helped to explain how verbs express different ideas such as obligation, permission, ability, and advice. The proper use of these techniques will allow the students to speak more fluidly in conversation.
