The unit focused on the qualities and roles of good teachers and also on the motivations and levels of students. Teachers should be able to switch between being the center of a classroom and a fly on the wall (and everything in between), depending on what role is needed for the situation. Teachers must also be respectful of their students' motivations while being aware of their level of English language knowledge. These motivations and levels (and the difficulties therein) vary greatly between adult learners and young learners.
