This unit covered the teaching of different groups of learners. I have been teaching a monolingual group of only one or two learners and so it was interesting to see how some of the ideas in the course matched my practice, ( for instance, not completing the whole lesson at one sitting). I am also challenged to use other ideas for teaching the class as sometimes the book we use seems very predictable. It makes sense to change the classes to fit the context. Last week I taught about clothing and color vocabulary but I really focused on clothing that might be left at a restaurant as that is where my clients work.. And you are right about the fatigue factor! They work nights and come for early classes.
