This unit showed us the importance of the different phases of a lesson as well as things to avoid. It is important to take your time and Engage the students so they are not only interested but are more able to understand the material and the information being provided. Being patient and positive is very vital to ensure the students feel comfortable and are keen on being involved. As the teacher, we must always be encouraging as well as making sure the students stay focused. We learned how important it is to be prepared for each lesson, whether it is with a lesson plan or a few notes. We also learned the importance of connecting with the students through introductions, both your and their names, calling on students using their names, and engaging student to student interaction as well.
