The pronunciation of words is a troubling task for most students. It can be difficult to learn because the English language is full of subtle nuances of intonation, stress, and word changing. As the English teacher, it is my job to expose students to native pronunciation so that they can replicate it. Using mouth diagrams and tongue twisters can provide interesting breaks in a lesson for students to try pronunciation. Also, by introducing the students to how the sounds are formed and the phonetic script, then students will be able to discover the pronunciation of words. It takes a lot of time and exposure for students to comfortable pronounce words.
