The unit covers some important tecniques to teach the language, as well as different factors to be considered in the classroom, like for example how easy or difficult it would be for the students to study the new vocabulary (similarity to student´s own language or spelling and pronunciation seem to me the most relevant ones). The unit also covers which tecniques are better to use in each stage of teaching: when a new vocabulary is given, it is quite effective to use pictures and mime at the engage stage, while at the activate stage the story building or material production are definitely the best options. One interesting detail I have learnt from the unit is how to teach language functions. I am sure it is an important tip to teach adults as they are usually willing to learn useful language to be used at work or for travelling. So in these cases I would for sure use the "boomerang" sequence.
