As we all know, size matters. The size of a class defines what techniques should be used by the teacher to provide an adequate level of knowledge to each and every student. The first lesson is especially important, since it is an introduction lesson when the teacher gets to know the students and learns about their existing language skills and needs. Some warming-up activities, like group games, will come in handy in the beginning of every class as a fundamental engage phase ritual.
