There are different types of classes; each kind of class needs particular approach. There are several most common kind of classes. The first one is a beginner class, usually students who are the part of such class do not know English at all (absolute beginner) or have not retained too much language (false beginner). A teacher should take all the factors into account (culture, mother tongue, level of knowledge, etc.) and choose appropriate materials and mythology. Today the tendency to teach individual student is becoming more popular, because such lessons are less formal, a teacher pays the attention just to one student, and the study process is quicker. The next type of class is a children class. A teacher should motivate his/her students, maintain the discipline, make the lessons not boring, combine different types of activities, do not threat, punish or raise the voice. Another type of class is business English class. It may be as individual classes as in-company or in-school group. The aim of such classes to increase the amount of English for specific purposes. A teacher should find out what the students want to get from the classes.
Classes may by monolingual and multilingual. In a monolingual class the student have the same language, when in multilingual classes the students have a different mother tongue.
