In unit 8, I learned about seven of the most common future tenses. Future simple is a verb tense used to convey an action that will occur in the future. The future continuous tense is a verb tense used to convey an action that will occur in the future and continue for a certain length of time. Future perfect tense is a verb tense that is used to describe an action that will be completed at a certain point in the future. Future perfect continuous tense is used to describe an ongoing action that will be completed at a certain point in the future. The ‘going to’ future tense is used to express an action in the future that is already planned. The present simple verb tense is used when expressing facts and routine actions. Present continuous verb tense is used to indicate an ongoing action. Unit 8 also describes typical mistakes made by students and suggests teaching ideas for the different verb tenses.
