In unit 9, I learned about lesson planning. A lesson plan can help the teacher identify the objective of the class, it can be used as a reference guide during the class, and it also documents what the class has covered. There are many ways to write a lesson plan, the key is to just keep it simple and flexible. When planning, it is necessary to estimate the amount of time that will be spent on each activity. It is also important to be organized. The teacher should have a plan and classroom materials ready before class.
It is up to the individual teachers as to what gets included in the lesson plan. Inexperience teachers will need to have a plan that is more structured. Teachers will become less dependent on the lesson plan as they become more experienced. The lesson plan should not be rigid, it should be flexible enough to adapt to the classroom.
