Unit number three deals with different methods and techniques of English language teaching. The beginning of the unit focuses on various methodologies of teaching English that have been used by many teachers all around the world. There is an emphasis on the fact that even though “the best” method does not exist, some of them have been found more effective than others (Task-based learning, CLT, CLL, Suggestopaedia), all of which have arguably influenced the ESA method. The rest of the unit deals with the ESA method and its various stages. It provides numerous activities and games that can be used at various stages of this method, which for me, as a person without any English teaching experience, was particularly useful. Moreover, the end of the unit focuses on feedback and correction techniques, with special emphasis on positive feedback and the importance of encouragement.
