In this unit, I have learned about the types of classes an English teacher can have in his/her career. There are five types of classes; teaching beginners, teaching individual students, teaching children, teaching Business English, and lastly is multilingual and monolingual class. Each class has different techniques used for the students to learn efficiently and effectively. In teaching beginners, there are different categories in which a student will fall into, the absolute beginner, the false beginner, the adult beginner, the young beginner, the beginner without Roman alphabet. Different tips and possible are shown in this part which is very helpful for teachers. In teaching individual students, it is totally different from a class with a group of students. But the teacher must be prepared with activities that will exercise and make the student interested with the session. In teaching children, the teacher must prepare not just with class activities but also physically as the students are more enthusiastic and more interested with visual representation. A teacher must also deal with class management as it is important especially if there are children who disobey that rules. In teaching business English, it has three ways to take place; one-to-one, in-company group, in-school group. Client is the term used when referring to learners of the language. The age may vary and they have the class after their work so some may be tired and the teacher must consider also the activities that these clients will have in class. With multilingual class, one of the main advantages of having this class is that the students are from different parts of the world and the only language for them to communicate is English. The students will try hard to learn the language to be able to communicate not only with their classmates but also with the teacher. Meanwhile with the monolingual class, though the students are in the same place and may often speak the mother language, the main advantage with this class, is that the teacher can prepare interesting lessons that may peak their interests.
