In this unit, I learned about conditionals and reported speech. In conditionals, these are sentences containing “if” which refers to the conditions that has to be satisfied before an action or state can happen or be realized. There are five kinds of conditionals, which are zero conditional,first conditional,second conditional,third conditional and mixed conditional. In zero conditional, it is more of showing facts and actions that are irrefutable.First conditional talks about real situation in the future which is possible until the condition is satisfied.Second conditional communicates a present or unreal situation that is unlikely ever to happen.Third conditional refers to hypothetical past action and the result also is past hypothetical. Mixed conditional combines the second conditional clause with a third conditional clause. It also shown in this unit the techniques on teaching conditionals. Meanwhile with reported speech, it is how we relay an information to other people. Actual speech is also known as direct speech. While reported speech is indirect speech.
