This unit stressed that although class time taking for writing activities may feel like a waste, it is an essential skill that an English learner must gain. You will enable a student to be able to accomplish much if they can write in English well. This will require addressing their penmanship, spelling and punctuation. While covering lessons on speaking, it is good for as many students in the class as possible to be engaged. The teacher will have to do their best to address issues that could affect a student's confidence in speaking in front of others and using new, unfamiliar language. The teacher should help all students to address both their correct use, or accuracy of the language as well as their fluency or the ability for the student to speak without stopping. These qualities of speech, and having necessary English writing skills, will help the student to present themselves as an educated English student!
