This unit taught me the different approaches and methods to use in a class. Each methods are different from one another and it depends on the kind of topic the teacher teaches in class. One of the important method that I have learned the most is the ESA method which stands for engage,study and activate. This method shows how can a teacher prepare in class. Firstly, the engage stage shows how to let students be engage with the class by doing some drills. Secondly, the study stage is the part on teaching the topic to the students and can used different techniques to present it in an interesting way. Lastly, is the activate stage where the students will show the output on what they have learned. Also it can be shown on different activities like role play, debate,and etc. The ESA method can be interchange and can add some stage in between as long as it begins with the engage stage and ends with the activate stage. Also, I have learned in this unit on how and when to correct properly the students. It is a sensitive matter to students but it is explained properly in this unit on how to do it effectively.
