In this unit we understood the concept of teaching past tense to the students.we learned the basic rules of past tense and its four types - past simple , past continuous, past perfect, past perfect continuous.
its shows that the past tense have similarities to present tense like in usage and emerging.first we will clear the concept of past tenses by teaching student about all the four types with rules and usage of all the forms. when the students will complete the study phase then we can move for the activate phase by giving them various activities like - complete the sentences,narrating a story, role play, detective games. for better understanding of usage of tenses teacher can program a activity of comparison between present and past tenses.it will provide a clear picture and also will wipe of any kind of confusion .
This unit provided a detailed information about past tense and its teaching methods which can be used in the class.
