In this unit I have learnt ways for a teacher to have a good rapport towards the students.The ESA method is very effective to have a productive lesson flow.The first video I have watched it shows that students looks tired and uninterested to participate in the class because the teacher himself looks so strict and his way of speaking was fast and so not clear.The teacher on the first video shows more on TTT rather than STT which made the time used much to the teacher and not the students.The teacher was also not able to explained well about the modal Auxiliary verb that gave students confusion on how to answer questions and activities that was given to them.The second video taught me that it is very important to start a lesson in having a good rapport to the students.Introducing yourself as the teacher and knowing all your student names will give student a relax and comfortable atmosphere to participate in the class.The used if ESA,engage the student to have a starter knowledge about the concept that they will study,study the words given by the teacher and students and making sure that students clearly understood all vocabulary and its uses and explaining well if there will be errors made by the students.Lastly activate phase helps student to be more knowledgeable about the lesson and be able to perform the activity by themselves and this benefit the teacher to know if students clearly understood the lesson or not.Most importantly for me, a simple smile of the teacher can make the students and the class end well.
