Future simple structure: subject + will + verb in its base form. Usages: future facts and certainties, promises, predictions, speculations, spontaneous decisions and threats.
Future continuous structure: subject + will + be + verb-ing. Usage: to say something will be in progress at a particular moment in the future.
Future perfect structure: subject + will + have + past participle verb. Usage: to say something will have been done, completed or achieved by a certain time in the future.
Future perfect continuous structure: subject + will + have + been + verb-ing. Usage: to say how long something will have continued by a certain time.
‘Going to’ future structure: subject + ‘to be’ in the present + going to + base form of verb. Usages: intentions, predictions based on present evidence, plans.
Present Simple structure: subject + verb in the present. Usages: to suggest a more formal situation, for timetables and schedules, to suggest a more impersonal tone.
Present continuous structure: subject + ‘to be’ in present + verb-ing. Usages: for definite arrangements, for decisions and plans without a time frame.
