Unit 1 is about teachers and learners. I have learnt that both the teacher and students need to have certain qualities or characteristics in order to learn ENGLISH successfully.Whilst the teacher has to be kind,loving and tolerant, inter alia, s/he also needs to have content knowledge so as to serve as a model in the learning process. the teacher needs to know and identify the language learning levels of individual students.This will make it possible for the teacher to provide necessary individualised attention to all students. thus the teacher has to perform different roles in arisen lesson. I have also learnt that there are young and adult English language learners how come with differences to language learning and that the teacher must pay attention to in order to motivate learnerscand thus help learners achieve the purposes that they learn English for. I have enjoyed this Unit.
