The unit explained the problems and difficulties a teacher might face in the classroom. The unit further provided explanation regarding what steps might be effective when teaching a new class for the first time. According to the unit, a teacher should use the first class session to establish rapport with the class, and find out more about the students, their aspirations, their needs and their level of English. The unit also elaborated on what steps could be taken when teaching large classes. The unit also explained that students in a class might possess varying levels of English knowledge and proficiency, and therefore the teacher need to adjust the materials and pace accordingly. The teacher is also advised to use English when teaching, and to try to remind the students in using English, instead of their native language. Students can use their native language when it's absolutely necessary. The unit also provided several ways in which teachers can deal with reluctant students.
