This unit introduced the concepts of learning a first language in comparison to learning a second language. Without giving a bias format, the lesson teaches the teacher that they must be able to interact with students and initiate desired responses. Examples of ESA lessons are given with variable formats, each with the same basic stages in potential orders: Engage, Study, Activate. I have learned from this lesson that creativity and interaction are needed in the classroom. This lesson's pointers on correction and ideas for games are very helpful. I will likely refer to and restudy this lesson while I am teaching in China.
