This unit introduces techniques for teaching new vocabulary, grammar, and language functions. Grammar and vocabulary can be taught in a straight arrow ESA approach, whereas language functions can be taught using the boomerang or patchwork approach. But the important thing is for teachers to pay attention to the characteristics of their students and class dynamic when deciding how to structure their lessons and class activities/exercises. Each student has his/her own individual personality, as will each class as a whole.
