There is no doubt that lesson plans are essential to a productive class. I know from experience that without them, everything can fall apart and the students will not learn. In my opinion, writing structured lesson plans is the best way to organize yourself as a teacher and prepare yourself for the different diversions that might occur. I also find it especially important to update any impromptu changes made in your lesson plan in your notes, otherwise the next time you teach that lesson you will probably encounter the same problem. This will save you time and increase learning time for the students. In this unit I was given a good structure to follow when planning lessons that I believe will be very successful.
