This unit focused on teaching productive skills, specifically speaking and writing. It stressed the difference between accuracy and fluency and explained that both are important but each has its own place in a lesson (accuracy is most often honed in the Study phase while fluency is most often honed in the Activate phase). The unit also explained the importance of games and provided some resources and ideas for their use.
I had understood the concepts of accuracy and fluency intuitively but found it helpful to have them explained. It gave me a better theoretical understanding of what I had thought was just my teaching style (!)
